Webinar: SRS 8.3 applications and integration at the Strasbourg Bioinformatics Platform
In this webinar, Frédéric Plewniak of the Strasbourg Bioinformatics Platform will demonstate how SRS can be used in applications such as 'PipeAlign' and 'SAGETTARIUS'.He will focus mainly on behind-the-scene integration of SRS as a databank access engine for other applications.
Quality Management System
approved according to the
ISO 9001:2000
Standard by LRQA France.
SAGETTARIUS available on lineSAGETTARIUS is a new high-throughput program that performs successive precise SAGE (Serial Analysis of Gene Expression) Nla3 and Sau3A tag to transcript mapping, based on specifically designed Virtual Tag (VT) libraries. This program is available on line. SAGETTARIUS decreases the number of tags mapped to multiple transcripts. Among the various mapping resources compared, SAGETTARIUS performed the best in this respect by decreasing by 11% the number of multiply mapped tags. SAGETTARIUS also allows the establishment of a guideline for SAGE experiment sequencing efforts through efficient mapping of the CRT (Cytoplasmic Ribosomal protein Transcripts)-specific tags.

French Society of BioinformaticsThe 'Société Française de BioInformatique' (French Society of Bioinformatics) was created in order to promote pluridisciplinary research in bioinformatics. Its main goals are : help bioinformatics student in their future help to organize thematic schools training opportunities inventory redaction of lectures and courses distribution of information For more information you may consult the S.F.B.I. web site. |

ReNaBi portalThe ReNaBi portal (National Bioinformatics Platforms Network) is open. You will find there loads of information and links to french bioinformatics platforms. |
ISO 9001:2000 certificationIn order to provide high grade services and ensure the satisfaction of its users' needs, the Bioinformatics Platform set up a Quality Management System according to the international ISO 9001:2000 standard. Applied to the 'provision of bioinformatics infrastructures' (software, databases, computing power and storage) and to the 'expertise in bioinformatics and bio-analysis', this system has been approved on the 26th June 2007 by the Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance France SAS company. The Bioinformatics Platform of Strasbourg is thus the first bioinformatics platform in France to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 certification. |
